The Vassalboro Library is part of the MILS consortium (Maine Info Net Library System). MILS is a shared library system that brings together small libraries of all types from across the state. Log-in to your MILS account with your barcode number and pin. Your pin is the last four digits of your phone number. You now have access to your library account and can access: items checked out with due date, place renewals, request inter-library loans and home library requests. Ask a librarian if you need help logging in or requesting books.
If you can not find the item you are looking for in MILS check MAINECAT. This system allows you access into larger Maine library systems and university libraries. When requesting a book from this system, make sure to specify Vassalboro Library as the pickup library. Need more information? Click this link

Our circulation period is 3 weeks for all materials. Borrowing privileges are free to all Vassalboro residents. We do not charge overdue fines but do appreciate you renewing your materials through your MILS account or by calling or emailing.
For out of town patrons dues are $10 a year for individual and $20 for a family.

Comics Plus is a website or App to read Comics,Graphic Novels and Manga. All for free through the library!! To access the Comics, Graphic Novels, and Manga you have to create an account. Interlibrary Loan
Interlibrary Loan (ILL) services are available. If you are looking for a specific item and we don’t have it, we can borrow from another Maine library at no cost to you.
Login to your library account and check what items other Maine libraries are holding and request those items from your account.
