Join us at the ball fields to learn about tick species in Maine. We will “drag” for ticks and place them in alcohol tubes for our own identification. We will complete activities to better learn how to identify ticks. The ticks we catch will be sent to UMaine Cooperative Extension to be identified and tested for pathogens and diseases. Results can be shared with the group as we receive them.
This activity is for all school aged children and participating adults. Younger children may attend but must be under parental supervision.
