Children and students of all ages are invited to join the Vassalboro Public Library’s 2021 Summer Reading Program! The theme this year is “Tails and Tales” which will explore stories and facts about animals and the habitats they call home. Registration starts Monday, June 14th.
Each participant, upon signing up, will receive a book bag with summer reading prizes including a free book, Vassalboro Library t-shirt, and a Portland Sea Dog voucher! (while supplies last.)
Bring in your summer reading log each week throughout the summer to earn more prizes and pick up a new animal themed take and make craft. Some of the activities will include building your own bird feeder, rainforest terrariums, lizard keychains, weaving, stuffed animals and much more.
We also have STEM kits which can be checked-out for at-home learning and include engineering, circuitry, and basic programming.
Please continue to check our website and Facebook page because we also plan to offer live programs in the summer!
